ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Film Office is launching its new website, which was created to make it easier for filmmakers and actors who want to work in New Mexico. The site brings every resource a filmmaker would need and puts it together in one place to make it a one-stop-shop to get productions done in town.

“We have this great opportunity to visually show both productions who are local and out-of-state, everything Albuquerque has to offer,” said film liaison, Karen Criswell.

The Black List Teams With New Zealand Film Commission For Fund And Script Development Workshop (deadline.com)

EXCLUSIVE: The Black List is partnering with the New Zealand Film Commission (NZFC) for the Black List New Zealand Project (BLNZP). The new initiative is a one-off fund script development workshop designed to foster the creative relationship between writers and producers and stimulate international opportunities for New Zealand feature films. In addition, the NZFC hopes to cast a wide net for New Zealand screenwriting talent and connect with projects at various stages of development. The further strengthens the Black List’s push for more inclusive storytelling in film.

“The New Zealand Film Commission aims to build great screen relationships between New Zealand writers and producers, amplify the voices of people who have been underrepresented, and find audiences for those voices,” said Annabelle Sheehan, CEO of the NZFC. “We are proud to be able to draw from the Black List’s global screen expertise and the widely acknowledged excellence that drives their platform.”

FILM & TV NO LONGER EXEMPT FROM UK TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS, MEANING ARRIVALS MUST NOW SELF-ISOLATE FOR 10 DAYS

Film & TV No Longer Exempt From UK Travel Restrictions, Meaning Arrivals Must Now Self-Isolate For 10 Days (deadline.com)

Film and TV production has been taken off the UK government’s coronavirus travel exemption list, meaning those arriving in Britain to participate in shoots of all shapes and sizes will need to self-isolate for 10 days.

The government updated its rules on Monday at 4AM local time and changes impact two categories of jobs: television production, and high-end television production and film. This covers pretty much everything apart from those involved in essential work for the BBC.

“If you are not exempt, and you arrive in the UK, you will need to self-isolate for 10 days,” the government said on a web page explaining the rules. “When you arrive in England, you must travel directly to the place you are staying and not leave.”
